PART-TIME HIGHSCHOOL & SECONDARY ENGLISH TEACHERS - CURRENTLY IN HANOI-Starting August 2026

• Position: English Teacher –part-time
• Requirements:

1. Native teachers from The UK, America, Canada, New Zealand, Irland, South African, European;
2. Have at least a BA in English Language/Education (or equivalent) and a TESOL/TELF/CELTA/TKT certificate;
3. Have ready documents to process the Work Permit in Vietnam which include: Valid Visa/Passport, Police check from home country, Original copies of Degrees and Teaching Certificate, Health Check and a Police Check in Vietnam (The last two documents would be processed when the teacher has already come to Vietnam);

(Note: Police check from home country, Original copies of Degrees and Teaching Certificate should be authenticated by your homeland Department of State or your country’s Embassy in Vietnam – where at your convenience. Please kindly check if the Embassy in Vietnam offers this authentication service. After having these documents authenticated, we will help you apply them for legalization at Consular Department, Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and ready for the WP process). 

1. Have at least one year of teaching experience;
2. Be self-motivated, cheerful, creative;
3. Commit to working at least 2 year in OEA.

• Job description:

As a part time (but full-hour) English  instructor at Oxford English Academy Vietnam, your tasks may include, but not limited to:

• Teaching up to 60-80 hours/month mostly at partner schools for secondary & highschool students;
• Developing lesson plans in line with the school curriculum and syllabus;
• Preparing supplementary teaching materials in line with lesson plan and assigned textbooks;
• Administering and marking termly course tests;
• Creating a vibrant teaching atmosphere;
• Providing assistance to students when necessary;
• Preparing termly progress reports for students (using the school templates);
• Attend parents’ meetings if needed;
• Performing other duties as may be requested by the Academic Director/ Coordinator.

(Note: You can be trained to be Cambridge Examiner for YLE/KET/PET/FCE/CAE Exams)

1. OEA Vietnam support teacher in processing the Work Permit in Vietnam (Teacher must have enough required document).
2. While working with OEA Vietnam, teacher is guaranteed for the extension of visa or temporary residene cards.

4. Salary will be reviewed for the increase annually based on working performance
5. Be trained to be Cambridge Speaking Examiner by Cambridge English Language Assessment, Cambridge University.
