Description
1. Strategy & Planning:
● Develop and implement strategic initiatives that support student learning and development.
● Develop and implement policies and procedures related to student development and support.
● Collaborate with other areas within the school to ensure that students have access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities and clubs.
● Plan and propose initiatives to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
● Hire staff according to faculty’s current and projected needs.
2. Professional activities:
● Manage, plan, organise, and direct the day-to-day operations and personnel assigned to the Student Success Center
● Provide professional development and programming on strategies and supports for student and staff social and emotional well-being and to build positive culture
● Lead by example by being an outstanding practitioner
● Promote academic development by seeking for the best practice within the school environment and encourage teachers to share it among themselves
● Encourage regular communication between relevant departments in curriculum documentation and educating students
3. Operations:
● Ensure all staff members receive an orientation to the program and appropriate professional training
● Ensure program activities, from both teaching and learning perspectives, operate within the policies and procedures of the school and professional standards
● Liaise with school departments with regards to implementation and the development of materials and resources to promote student in-class learning and skills reinforcement in clubs and other activities
● Supervise program activities by providing academic and administrative direction, feedback and support aligned to school’s policies.
● Conduct meetings with Heads of Departments as needed to ensure effective communication and implementation of the program.
● Plan staffing allocation for the school year
● Identify and promote staff members based on ability and performance.
