Overview of Position
CSI is a leading expert in K-12 English learning, test preparation, and admissions consulting. Since 2013, we have been mentoring students to help them achieve top academic results and goals through our academic rigor and immersive English learning environment.
We are currently looking for a self motivated, experienced, and passionate teacher to join our team and assist us with our mission to develop students holistically and prepare them for lifelong learning. Our teacher is responsible for, but is not limited to: grade assignments, evaluate students’ progress and plan educational activities. They are competent professionals with in-depth knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational processes. Our ideal candidate will also demonstrate outstanding presentation and interpersonal abilities.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning
- Deliver personalized instruction to each student by encouraging interactive learning
- Assign, grade, and provide feedback on classroom assignments, homework, and tests in a timely manner
- Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback
- Prepare and distribute periodic progress reports and semester report
- Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and events
- Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc
Key Stats
- Location: District 7 - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
- Teaching hours: up to 18 hours per week
- Student Grade Range: G6-12
- Test Prep Specialties: SAT I, ACT, SSAT, AP, IB, Subject Tutoring
- 2-year employment contract
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Teaching or relevant field
- Teaching certificate such as TESOL/TEFL/CELTA - C1 Test or equivalent certificate (IELTS/TOEFL) for teachers from ESL countries
- A minimum of 1 year’ experience as a teacher
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures
- Strong written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Prioritization, planning, and organization skills
- A desire to work with children and/or young adults
