IMA Kindergarten is a member of the Van Lang Education Group, one of the largest education groups in Vietnam, providing a comprehensive educational pathway from kindergarten to postgraduate over the last 28 years.

Our Thao Dien (District 2) campus serves children aged 15 months to 6 years, providing an international early childhood environment. Our programs integrate the Oxford International Curriculum (OIC) and early childhood ESL frameworks, focusing on holistic development and preparing children to become future global citizens.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AT IMA:
We are seeking Preschool ESL Teachers for our Thao Dien campus beginning June 2026, for the Academic Year 2026–2027 onwards. The successful candidates will deliver engaging English lessons, foster early literacy and communication skills, and promote a nurturing environment for young children.

YOUR ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7:45am to 5:00pm.
  • Welcome and greet students and parents daily, supporting smooth morning transitions and ensuring children feel safe, settled, and cared for.
  • Deliver age-appropriate Preschool ESL instruction for children aged 18 months to 5 years, supporting early language development, communication, and social-emotional growth.
  • Teach up to 30 teaching periods per week, with each period being 35 minutes.
  • Support students’ daily care routines, including supervision, transitions, and assistance during meals and feeding times, in collaboration with local teaching assistants.
  • Work closely with local teaching assistants to manage classroom routines, care needs, and learning activities.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and well-supervised learning environment, in line with safeguarding and early childhood standards.
  • Demonstrate reasonable operational flexibility, including occasional schedule adjustments or class coverage, as required by the school.
  • Use allocated non-contact time for lesson preparation, documentation, administrative duties, and professional collaboration.
  • Communicate with parents through scheduled meetings and reporting processes, as required by the school.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education (mandatory).
  • Strong preference for candidates holding a degree in Early Childhood Education, Preschool Education, or a closely related education-focused discipline.
  • A recognized teaching qualification or early years certification, where applicable.
  • Fluent English proficiency (minimum C1 level or equivalent).

Experiences, Skills & other requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years’ full-time experience in Early Childhood / Kindergarten education, preferably within an international or bilingual school setting.
    Proven experience teaching children aged 18 months to 6 years, with clear understanding of age-appropriate developmental expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver inquiry-based and play-based learning, including thematic or project-based units (not isolated activities).
  • Strong early literacy practice, including phonics, reading readiness, and structured progression, ensuring mastery before advancement.
  • Competence in formative assessment, including observations, documentation, portfolios, and checklists, with the ability to use assessment outcomes to inform differentiation and planning.
    Ability to differentiate instruction beyond visual aids, using intentional strategies aligned to student needs.
  • Strong classroom management grounded in clear routines, consistent expectations, and positive reinforcement, suitable for early years learners.
  • Clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching assistants, grade teams, and academic leadership in a professional and accountable manner.
