POSITION SUMMARY
Informed by the school’s values, teachers will ensure that all students learn the content and skills required for academic success as defined by curricular and instructional objectives and overarching school goals.
Instructors will:
- Teach appropriate content and skills using student-centered, project-based curriculum materials adopted by the school
- Provide supplemental and teacher-created materials as needed
- Develop lesson plans accommodating a range of learning styles and specialized student needs
- Create a learning environment that encourages positive social interaction, active engagement, and self-motivation
- Participate actively in school improvement activities, professional development, curriculum meetings, assessment meetings, and student support meetings
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, Mathematics, Design Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Teacher Certification/License or PGCE in Education from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, Ireland, or New Zealand
- IB certification preferred
- Master’s degree in Education preferred
- Minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience in STEM, Design Technology, MDE, or related subjects
- Experience in student-centered, project-based learning preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. PLANNING AND PREPARATION
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of content area, instructional pedagogy, and project-based learning
- Incorporate student needs into instructional activities, including academic abilities, developmental strengths/challenges, language, and culture
- Implement interventions, accommodations, and modifications when necessary
- Set instructional outcomes that are challenging, clear, sequential, and aligned
- Complete lesson plans based on the innovative project-based curriculum
- Utilize diverse instructional resources, including school curriculum materials and enrichment resources
- Implement structured project-based units with hands-on activities and strategic grouping
- Use assessment data to inform instruction for whole-class learning, small-group instruction, and individual remediation/enrichment
