Atlantic Five-Star English is seeking Full-Time Supplementary English Teachers to join our public-school programme in Hanoi.
This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy high-energy, communicative classrooms and are confident working with large groups of secondary students (ages 11–15).
Job Overview
- Location: Public schools across Hanoi (travel required)
- Start date: September 2026 (Induction in August 2026)
- Contract: Until May 31, 2027
- Schedule: Daytime hours
- Guaranteed hours: 60 teaching hours/month
Salary & Benefits

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, communicative English lessons focused on speaking and interaction
- Create student-centred activities using pair work, group work, and collaborative learning
- Teach large classes (typically 40–50 students) with strong classroom management
- Plan lessons, prepare materials, and assess student performance
- Maintain accurate records (attendance, lesson summaries, assessment results)
- Travel between assigned partner schools across Hanoi
- Participate in training sessions, meetings, and school events
- Collaborate with academic and operations teams
- Follow safeguarding and child protection policies at all times
Teaching Context
- Students: Secondary (ages 11–15)
- Class size: Large classes (40–50 students)
- Focus: Speaking, communication, and student interaction
- Strong academic support: mentoring, observations, training
Requirements
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree (any subject)
- TESOL / CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL (or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to work effectively in Vietnamese public-school settings
- Clean criminal record
Desirable:
- Experience teaching large classes or in public schools
- Cambridge or exam preparation experience
- Delta / DipTESOL / relevant Master’s degree
