Atlantic Five-Star English -Academic Coordinator- Cambridge International program in Hanoi

Due to expansion, Atlantic Five-Star English is looking for a full-time Academic Coordinator for our in-school Cambridge International teaching programme in Hanoi.

Atlantic currently runs the Cambridge International Secondary 1 (Checkpoint) and Secondary 2 (IGCSE) programmes in multiple state schools and one private school in Hanoi.

For the 2022-2023 school year, there will be approximately 600 students across Grades 6 - 9. Students on this programme follow the Cambridge International curriculum for various Cambridge subjects, alongside the Vietnamese curriculum.

The ultimate goal is for students to attain success (Grade C or higher) on their IGCSE exams in Grade 9 or 10.

Duties include supervising the expat teaching team; conducting meetings, trainings, observation and feedback; developing curriculum materials; liaising with operations and with schools; and attending school and parent meetings.

Minimum requirements:

• Relevant Bachelor’s/Master’s/PGCE/DELTA/DipTESOL/QTS*
• Previous academic management experience
• Previous teaching experience, (experience with Cambridge International programmes would be beneficial but is not a requirement)
• Cultural awareness and flexibility to work in a state-school environment in Vietnam
• A clean criminal record in home country and in Vietnam

*Other qualifications may be considered if backed by sufficient relevant work experience.

Expected start date: ASAP in 2022

Work time: Mon - Fri, with occasional weekend work required for meetings
