International School Hiring Art Teacher (Cambridge Program)

The Art Teacher will follow Cambridge curriculum and create lessons that engage students in both foundational and exploratory artistic practices. The ideal candidate will foster an environment of creativity, curiosity, and confidence, while promoting appreciation for various artistic techniques, materials, and cultural perspectives.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate art lessons based on the learning objectives.
• Create a safe, creative, supportive, and inspiring art learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves.
• Effectively manage student behaviour and ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
• Ensure the safe use of art tools and materials by students.
• Organize, maintain, and manage art supplies and equipment.
• Regularly assess student progress through projects and class participation.
• Provide constructive, encouraging feedback to students on their artwork, helping them improve.
• Monitor and record the development of each student's artistic skills.
• Participate in meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
• Stay updated on the teaching techniques and methodologies.
• Collaborate effectively with other teachers and staff to support the holistic development of students.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and achievement.
• Serve as a Homeroom Teacher in secondary/high school, providing pastoral care to a homeroom class.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Art Education or Major in Art + teaching certificate (this is a mandatory requirement). Applicants must submit CV, portfolio, and a teaching demo video for consideration.
• Have 2-3 years of teaching experience in teaching Art to primary and secondary/high school students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
