Position Title: English Teacher

POSITION OVERVIEW
English Teacher has a critical contribution to the development and enhancement of the quality of
the English language teaching provision and the student experience following True North
School’s pillars of excellence and philosophy.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
● Teach English to students.
● Grade students’ assessments, report students’ results.
● Ensure the standard outcomes of students following the school's pillars of excellence and
philosophy.
● Review tests with students to ensure they are fulfilling requirements and are placed in the
proper classes or programs
● Prepare classroom and course materials
● Research new teaching methods for teaching English Language Arts.
● Confer with colleagues regarding instructional techniques, organization of practices, etc. to
provide guidance and mentoring.
● Communicate with parents upon request.
● Participate in meetings, workshops, trainings, events, and seminars to convey and/or gather
information if required.
● Participate in teaching and operating extra-curricular activities.
● Other tasks assigned by the Line Manager, Senior Leadership Team and Board of
Management.

JOBREQUIREMENTS
● Bachelor's degree in English education, English Language or in relevant subject area.
● Advanced degree or specialization training that supports the teaching role is preferred;
● Proven experience teaching in a school setting;
● Knowledge of and experience in using a variety of assessments and differentiated learning
techniques;
● Grounded in knowledge about teaching and learning;
● Effective communicator- communicate well with a diverse community, proficient writing
skills;
● Highly skillful at using technology;
● Strong organizational and time management skills;
