- YOUR ACCOUNTABILITY
- Planning and Teaching
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Teaching: Teachers are expected up to deliver 26 teaching periods per week, plus 2 fixed ECA. 45minutes per period
- Parent Engagement and Student Wellbeing
- Attend annual parent-teacher meetings as scheduled.
- Collaborate with local teachers to effectively communicate with parents about academic and social matters, including follow-ups on reports and during parent-teacher meetings.
- Regularly update student progress each quarter in our LMS system.
- Ensure a purposeful and safe learning environment for all students.
- Curriculum Revision
- Give feedback on the school curriculum when necessary.
- Assist in the development and revision of the school’s syllabi and materials if needed.
- JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Qualifications
- A university degree in Theater, Drama, Performing Arts, or a closely related field.
- Professional teaching certifications/qualification/license as required.
- Candidates with additional qualifications such as a PGCE, QTS, master's degree, or other advanced degrees in education will be given preferential consideration.
- Experiences & Skills
- Teaching Experience: At least two years of teaching experience in Performing Arts, ideally in an international or bilingual school environment, with a proven ability to foster creativity, student engagement, and performance excellence.
- Schools Plays: Proven experience in creating and directing school plays or performances on a stage, including the ability to manage all aspects of production from casting, rehearsals, stage design, and technical coordination.
- Design & Delivery: Experience in designing and delivering Performing Arts lessons in areas such as theater, music, and dance, with a focus on developing students' performance skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the Music and Performing Arts primary team to organize and produce the end-of-year school play or other significant performances.
- Strong knowledge of performance techniques, including stage presence, movement, voice projection, and ensemble work, with the ability to guide students through preparation and live performances.
- Adequate skills in IT, particularly in using multimedia and sound/lighting equipment to enhance performances.
- Fluent in English, ensuring clear and effective communication in both classroom settings and performance contexts. C1 level of fluency or equivalent is required.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to create a vibrant and supportive arts environment.
