[Hanoi] Atlantic Five-Star English- Part time IELTS teacher

Atlantic Five-Star English is seeking experienced and committed Part-time IELTS Teachers to join our in-school programme in early January. The role focuses on teaching IELTS skills to teenage learners in a Vietnamese state-school environment, following a structured curriculum with strong academic support.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & IELTS Delivery

• Teach IELTS skills: Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading.
• Prepare and deliver IELTS-focused lessons aligned with the provided curriculum and pacing guide.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit students’ levels and exam needs.
• Prepare students for IELTS tests and monitor their academic progress.
• Identify underperforming or underchallenged students and report to academic management.
• Travel to designated schools and cover lessons when required.

Classroom Management

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with Atlantic policies and school regulations.
• Ensure student safety and follow all safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Assign and check homework to support IELTS skill development.

Assessment & Administration

• Submit lesson plans and teaching materials as required.
• Deliver, mark and input IELTS-related assessments following standardised rubrics.
• Provide students with regular written feedback.
• Complete attendance, reports, and timesheets accurately and on time.

Professional Conduct

• Communicate regularly with academic management, HR, scheduling and operations teams.
• Attend induction, training, mentoring and observation sessions.
• Maintain professional conduct, appearance, and care of company facilities.

Requirements

Essential

• CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL or equivalent (with observed teaching practice).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 2 years of IELTS teaching experience.
• Experience teaching teenage learners.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office & Google Workspace.
• English proficiency at C1 level (if non-native, per VN regulations).
• Clean criminal record.

Desirable

• Delta / DipTESOL / relevant MA.
• Experience teaching in Vietnamese public schools.
• Ability to work with large class sizes.
• Cultural awareness and positive, resilient attitude.
