Description
Atlantic Five-Star English is looking for 01 dynamic and dedicated Academic Manager (AM-5SiS) to join our in-school academic management team in Hanoi, Vietnam. The AM-5SiS plays a critical role in ensuring our teaching and learning standards meet our ambitious academic vision.
Your Role
The AM-5SiS will join the 5SiS Management Team (alongside the Operations Manager, Director of Studies, and Operations Director), and take academic leadership of assigned schools, overseeing teaching quality, curriculum implementation, and student outcomes. The Academic Manager will work closely with teachers, school partners, and internal teams to ensure the programme runs smoothly and effectively.
This position is ideal for an experienced academic leader who is passionate about education, thrives in a collaborative and multicultural environment, and is ready to make a meaningful impact in Vietnam’s public school system.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, mentor, and lead teachers and lead teachers in your assigned schools.
- Oversee curriculum implementation and continuous improvement in collaboration with the Director of Studies.
- Conduct classroom observations, identify teaching gaps, and support professional development.
- Monitor student progress through assessment, data analysis, and feedback systems.
- Liaise regularly with operations teams, school partners, parents, and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and continuous development of the programme.
- Represent Atlantic at academic events, parent meetings, and outreach activities.
- Support school recruitment and development of new academic products.
- Contribute to a vibrant, learner-focused culture that encourages high standards, responsiveness, and innovation.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL or equivalent, with observed teaching practice
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in academic coordination or teacher management
- Proven experience in curriculum design and leadership
- Excellent communication skills in multicultural settings
- Native-level English proficiency (C2 equivalent)
- Experience with Cambridge YLE/Main Suite and IELTS preparation
- Clean criminal record
- Experience in public school setting
Desirable:
- DELTA / DipTESOL / MA TESOL or similar qualification
- Experience managing foreign teachers in public schools or similar educational contexts
- Familiarity with Vietnamese public education and working with government partners
- Track record of building strong teaching teams and improving academic quality
Contract & Working Conditions
- Start Date: 10 Jan 2026
- Contract Type: 12-month definite-term, renewable
- Working Hours: 44 hours/week (Monday to Friday), plus occasional evenings/weekends with time off in lieu
- Location: Head office (Hai Bà Trưng District, Hanoi) + regular school site visits
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: Up to 50 million VND/month, depending on qualifications and experience
