 1.1. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Physical Education Teacher Job Description
A physical education (PE) teacher instructs students about sports, physical development, health, and proper nutrition. A PE teacher has knowledge of sports and the health sciences. Physical education teachers show students not only how to play various sports, but also how physical activity benefits the muscles and overall health. PE teachers also plan activities that help make exercise-based learning more engaging for students.

• To teach diligently and faithfully assigned to the Board of Principals.
• Manage student learning through effective teaching in accordance with The school policy & regulation.
• Create a lively, communicative atmosphere in the class that is conducive to teaching and learning;
• Be immediately responsible for the processes of identification, assessment, recording and reporting for the students in their charge.
• Track student progress, monitoring achievement against targets set, and take appropriate action on student outcomes.
• Assess students’ work systematically and use the results to inform future planning, teaching and curricular development.
• Be familiar with statutory assessment and reporting procedures and prepare and present informative, helpful and accurate reports to parents.
• Keep an accurate register of students for each lesson.
• Encourage diligence, organization, responsibility, self-reliance, co-operation, teamwork, honesty, understanding, and tolerance in students;Cover for absent colleagues when necessary;
• Other relating duties assigned by Board of Principals.

1.2 WORKING HOUR:

40 hours per week (7:30 – 17:00) from Monday to Friday.

2. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Physical education teacher jobs require that instructors be physically fit and active as teacher will typically lead multiple classes and activities across the school day. Teacher works both indoors and outdoors, teaching younger students how to play various sports and how to exercise and monitoring activities of older students. Teacher is responsible for organizing activities and curriculum, including the preparation and maintenance of gym equipment. PE teacher should have knowledge of sports and basic health and nutrition for all developmental levels. PE teacher also participates in coaching activities for school sports teams and may also be faculty advisors for student clubs.

• Minimum a Bachelor degree in physical education or relevant fields.
• A solid background in sports and communication skills is a definite plus
• Ability to differentiate student-learning experiences through the use of a variety of teaching and assessment strategies in order to meet the needs of all students.
• In-depth knowledge of teaching methods and legal educational procedures.
• Good at writing and verbal communication skills.
• Good at interpersonal and presentation skills.
