Description
EIU Language Center, which is affiliated to EIU university, was opened in 2012 with a mission statement to “Proudly Serve the Community”. In order to fulfill that goal, we currently offer teens and adult classes at our language center, located in Thu Dau Mot City (just 15 miles from Ho Chi Minh City). We also work closely with local companies and on government projects to provide offsite lessons to learners with a variety of study purposes. Our teachers can develop their teaching skills by working with a wide range of learners and through the range of continuous professional development opportunities available. Our teachers have the benefit of working in a stable and secure environment in a team that is small enough to value every individual’s unique contribution to the school.
We are looking to recruit teachers to start in June-August 2022
Please note: due to the ongoing situation with the Covid 19 virus, we are not currently able to offer employment to teachers currently based outside of Vietnam.
What we offer
- Net salary of US$1850-$2100/ month, dependent on qualifications and experience.
- 5-day working week, with 2 consecutive days off.
- 40 total working hours/ week, with all teaching-related duties fully paid.
- Contract completion bonus of $1600.
- 30 days paid leave/ year.
- Free apartments (in a 3-star hotel, located a two-minute walk from the language center).
- Health check, work permit and work visa paid by the school.
- Health insurance provided.
Requirements
- Native level competence in English.
- Ability to complete an initial 1-year contract.
- Willing to teach both teenagers (11-14 year olds) and adults.
- Undergraduate degree.
- CELTA or equivalent certification (with minimum 6 hours of observed lessons).
- At least 3-years post-CELTA teaching experience.
- Ability to provide a clean police check.
- Willing to work evenings and weekends.
