Language Link is currently seeking an Academic Coordinator (AC) to join our public schools program, Schools Link!

Schools Link is Language Link’s highly successful English language education program in Vietnamese schools. We currently have more than 180 foreign English teachers teaching over 32,000 students in Hanoi’s urban districts. Our programs consistently receive high ratings from students and parents. Our Schools Link program caters to Primary, Secondary and High School students in Hanoi.

Responsibilities

Academic Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, designing, and implementing academic programs, teaching standards, and Secondary and High school student learning outcomes. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing academic curriculum, educational programs and projects;
  • Coordinating with team members to align the curriculum with the educational objectives and goals;
  • Monitoring student and teacher progress and providing feedback for improvement;
  • Conducting workshops that help teachers develop specific competencies to improve their teaching (one a day during induction week, plus roughly two per month during the school year);
  • Reviewing and updating academic policies and procedures;
  • Maintaining records of academic performance, progress, and attendance;
  • Handle issues and support staff within a designated region of the program;
  • Master the IELTS program by being involved in observing, and attending workshops for IELTS teachers;
  • Assisting in the recruitment, training, and development of staff;
  • Assist in developing/ preparing successor(s) for the RHT and AC positions;
  • Support/ be involved in school outreach events (i.e. school assemblies, competitions, parent workshops);
  • Provide cover when required;
  • Teach own classes up to 20 hours a month.
