Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in the implementation and use of the WIDA ELD Standards and Assessments
- Develop and deliver professional development opportunities for teachers and staff on the WIDA Standards and Assessments
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and staff to develop and implement programs and strategies to support the academic success of ESLLs
- Provide support to teachers and staff in the implementation of effective instructional practices for ESLLs
- Collect and analyze data to monitor and evaluate the progress of ESLLs in meeting language proficiency and academic standards
- Provide guidance and support to school teams in developing and implementing effective instruction and assessment practices for ESLLs
- Assist in the development and implementation of language proficiency and academic standards for ESLs
- Collaborate with community agencies and organizations to develop partnerships and resources to support ESLLs and their families
