SUMMER CAMP TEACHER

1. TEACHING:

• Deliver lesson of Science, Engineering & Math grade 1, 2-3, 4-5
• In charge of teaching activities and preparing teaching materials/equipment according to lesson plans.
• In charge of guiding students to complete the final products according to lesson plans.
• Deliver engaging lessons that support students below grade level while also pushing students at and above grade level
• Adapts and reassesses lesson plans to meet specific student needs, comply with newly implemented guidelines or rules, and to update relevant information and include new developments in education
• Cover lessons as needed when another Teacher is absent 
• Communicates with parents as per school guidelines 
• Ensure a safe and productive learning environment for all students
• Attend professional development workshops as directed by supervisor
• Attend grade/subject meetings as scheduled by your direct supervisor
• Coordinate lesson delivery and share best practices with colleagues teaching the same grade and subject
• Attend meetings as directed by supervisor with all teachers and TAs of each class you teach to discuss student concerns, progress, etc.

2. ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

• Participate in the summer performance review process as conducted by your direct supervisor
• Complete all paperwork required for leave requests, disciplinary measures, etc. according to timelines laid out by school policy

3. COMMUNICATION:

• Respond to parents’ emails with both an English and Vietnamese translation
• Schedule and attend parent meetings as requested by parents or when a determined need arises
• Communicate issues that arise for individual students or classes with your direct supervisor

4. CONTRIBUTION TO THE WELLSPRINGS COMMUNITY:

• Contribute to the planning and execution of events held by Summer School
• Adhere to all regulations, policies and other assignments as dictated by the Board of Directors
• Participate in Summer School Field Trip and Students’ Showcase at Closing Ceremony
• Making sure the project products of Science, Engineering, Math are collected and exhibited, presented by students at the Showcase (Closing Ceremony)
• Design and run game booths, experiments (as requested) related to subject Science, Engineering, Math at the Showcase (Closing Ceremony)

5. OTHER:

• Perform other tasks and responsibilities as might be reasonably assigned by your direct supervisor or the Head of IP (Primary)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required: BA, BSc, BEd
• Required:  A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience (full-time), preferably in an international school 
• Desirable: Teaching Certification, PGCE, Teach-Now or QTS 
• Desirable: CELTA, TESOL, or TEFL
