Position Summary:

The Fitness and Wellness teacher is responsible for organizing innovative games and challenges that promote physical activity among all students at True North School from grades 1-9. The goal is to develop motor skills, physical development, proper exercise, and eating habits among all students. The teacher must be knowledgeable about healthy life practices and use every day relevant situations to teach these practices, must be creative and resourceful in using school space and various resources to provide physical activities, and be flexible and engaging as an instructor for students from multiple grade levels.

What will you be doing:

• Design PE curriculum for Grades 1-5 with specific objectives which strengthen TNS pillar of
• Develop a plan of professional activities for the school year: Specify appropriate targets and measures feasible (based on the school work plan and program development plan)
• Prepare teaching materials, daily student reports, final assessment reports, and unscheduled reviews; Monitor students’ learning
• Participate in after-school fitness/wellness clubs, supervise duty and support other teachers as assigned by the Administration.
• Search for the competitions, provide extra lessons/activities, and support students to achieve the best result to improve their fitness level.

• Attend workshops for enrollment, create experiential classes and design school events throughout the school
• Participate in designing and improving programs quarterly and annually to guide the implementation of curricular and extracurricular programs when
• Participate in sharing new teaching ideas to share with colleagues in group/ grade meetings, in order to build a defined fitness and wellness school culture for students, faculty and parent

• More than 2 year teaching experience in Primary School (bilingual or international school is an advantage), and knowledge with the new education program.
