Description

Responsibilities and Duties:

Key, Overall

- The post holder will be responsible for developing, leading monitoring the Phonics Programs at Little Em's Preschool.

Program development

- With your expertise and experiences in Phonics teaching, create or propose a Phonics Scheme suitable to the school's plan, aims, and visions.

- Contributing expertise, knowledge, and ideas in Academic Leadership Team meetings to plan for continuous development and raising standards.

Training

- Creating and executing a Training program the English teachers team, ensuring the professional capacity of the Teachers team to carry out the Program.

- Creating and executing a Training program for staff and parents, supporting them in their understanding and companionship with the school's educational plan and the Phonic Program in particular.

- Responsible for Phonics resources, ensuring they are adequately maintained and sufficient supply for the school's needs.

Leading, Managing, and Monitoring

- Working effectively as a member of the Academic Leadership Team to help lead, develop, and enhance the teaching practices of colleagues in the English teachers team, ensuring the progress and quality of the Phonics program at the school.

- Attending team meetings to help develop consistency in expectations and practice.

- Improving and monitoring standards in the Phonics program, including lesson observations, modeling, team teaching, work scrutiny, monitoring of planning, and oral and written feedback to teachers, teaching assistants, and the Academic Leadership Team.

- Leading teachers in planning and assessment in the Phonics program.

- Induction of new staff, including mentoring, as appropriate.
