Lower Secondary Science Teacher (Cambridge) – Hanoi, Vietnam
About Nguyen Sieu School
Nguyen Sieu School, located in Cau Giay District, Hanoi, is a leading selective bilingual school committed to providing world-class international education while preserving traditional Vietnamese values.

About the Role
Nguyen Sieu School is seeking enthusiastic and research-informed teachers to join our team for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The successful candidate will teach Lower Secondary Science following the Cambridge International Curriculum. While this is a full-time position, flexible arrangements may be considered for the preferred candidate where appropriate.
Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate:
A university degree and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE or equivalent).
Strong subject knowledge and a solid understanding of the Cambridge International Curriculum.
The ability to contribute positively to a professional learning community and support the school's High Performance Learning (HPL) journey.
Relevant teaching experience with a proven record of effective classroom practice.
Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective classroom management, creating safe and supportive learning environments for diverse learners.
A clear understanding of assessment, reporting, and providing meaningful feedback to students and parents.
Working Conditions
40 working hours per week (plus a one-hour lunch break), typically from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
Occasional weekend work may be required for school events or activities.
Maximum of 80 teaching/contact hours per month.
Contact hours may include classroom teaching, learning support, student coaching, or mentoring as assigned by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
Key Responsibilities
In addition to classroom teaching, teachers are expected to:
Prepare lessons and teaching resources.
Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
Contribute to curriculum planning and programme development.
Undertake supervision duties.
Teachers may also be required to:
Provide learning support where needed.
Coach or mentor students in clubs and competitions.
Participate in extracurricular activities.
Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
