DESCRIPTION, RESPONSIBILITIES, & DUTIES
Aurora International Preschool Of The Arts (Thao Dien, District 2) is seeking some native English Lead Teachers for preschool who are passionate about working with children and colleagues in a school that is driven by a commitment to the philosophy from Reggio Emilia. The lead teacher will work collaboratively with a team of teachers to create an environment using natural materials and will support children's theories, ideas and work. The lead teacher must be experienced in using the approach and working with children to support a curriculum that is rich in possibilities and builds on children's strengths and curiosity and is able to support problem solving and social-emotional development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
The lead teacher must have prior experience in working with children in a Reggio Emilia inspired program, have a degree in Early Childhood education or Education. The lead teacher will need to communicate regularly with parents through emails and weekly freshness, face to face meetings, and present a talk during parent information evenings. The candidate will meet with colleagues in team meetings and must be able to document children's learning through play. The candidate needs to possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To be responsible for the room management, including the children, program, staff, safety and environment.

To ensure a high quality service is consistently maintained in all areas and aspects of the service.

To ensure an inclusive environment is developed for all children, regardless of race, abilities, beliefs and values. The environment will foster children’s safety, security, positive relationships, be challenging, warm and caring.

To build positive relationships with parents. To act as a positive role model, to be an active team member, conveying respect and guidance to other colleagues.

To be responsible for applying the Reggio Emilia Approach on setting up the context for inviting children on exploring, setting up the classroom aesthetically and changing the setting by children’s big project with the approval from The Director and Principal.
