Overview of Position

As Head of Test Prep, you will lead and oversee product and people development for the after-school Test Prep programs at NPX Point Avenue, an educational group based in Singapore with operations spread throughout Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities include formulating product development strategies; training, coaching, and mentoring Test Prep staff; driving Test Prep marketing strategies; and building partnerships. To be successful, you must be problem-solving, collaborative, and innovative. You will continually assess and identify gaps within the Test Prep programs and develop and launch new products/training materials to improve how we do our work, while helping to educate the market on our educational philosophy and approach.

General Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee development and implementation of Test Prep curriculum
  • Provide Test Prep program QA/ QC by training, advising, and assisting faculty and staff
  • Further Test Prep marketing strategies by creating content marketing, serving as a face for Test Prep, and building partnerships

1, Product Development:

  • Meets with Senior Management, R&D, and Marketing teams to discuss Test Prep product ideas and feasibility
  • Conducts market research and evaluates similar products
  • Redesigns existing products to enhance functionality or reduce costs
  • Oversees product development; tests prototype products for functionality, ease-of-use, and longevity; resolves product issues

2, Quality Assurance:

  • Determines training requirements and priorities for Test Prep programs by meeting with managers, talking with employees, or administering surveys
  • Develops training programs, including creating training calendars and materials, that address specific needs and create tangible results
  • Schedules onboarding and continuing training and manages training attendance and task completion
  • Delivers in-person and online training sessions or trains and supervises qualified personnel to do so
  • Monitors employees’ skills, performance and productivity post-training to ensure that training is meeting business needs and improving performanceOversees training for Test Prep programs

3, Marketing Support:

  • Advises and assists with Test Prep content marketing strategies
  • Undertakes Test Prep content marketing initiatives to support business targets
  • Collaborates with Marketing to produce high quality content

4, Operations Support:

  • Provides sales support by meeting with and helping close customer leads
  • Works by, with, and through Centers to implement Test Prep programs to a high-level standard

Qualifications:

  • Proven 5 years of experience as a Test Prep Coach
  • Strong teaching and curriculum development background
  • Experience in planning and budgeting
  • Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • BSc/BA in relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
