Description
A - Job description:
- To manage, develop and to take direct responsibility for the provision of core and curriculum PE across the school.
 - To manage PE staff within the school.
 - To ensure informative and regular contact with the parents of girls who study PE to ensure excellent communication with parents, pupils and staff.
 - Lead, coordinate, and participate in core PE across the school.
 - Co-Teach with PE Teachers (submit weekly/monthly schedule).
 
- Teaching and Learning:
 
- Support teachers in the identification of the most effective teaching approaches.
 - Monitor teaching and learning activities to ensure they meet the needs of pupils.
 - Liaise with other CISS School PE Programs.
 - Model Best Practices and launch new initiatives as requested.
 
- Improvement Plan and Policies:
 
- Setting of Department Strategy & Goals.
 - Professional Development for the PE team.
 - A clear assessment policy for the identification of pupils with additional support needs, for setting and for the identification of gifted and talented.
 
- Recording and Assessment:
 
- Develop understanding of learning needs and the importance of raising achievement for all pupils.
 - Set targets for raising achievement in PE for all pupils.
 - Collect and interpret assessment data.
 - Maintain and enhance systems for identifying, assessing and reviewing PE teaching.
 - Update the Vice-Principals/Principal on the effectiveness of the provision of PE for all pupils.
 - Work with Learning Support staff to monitor and support alternative/ assessment arrangements.
 - Keep Students & Parents informed about their child's progress through regular reports, Parent meetings, and appropriate communication.
 
- Leadership:
 
- Provide training opportunities for PE department staff.
 - Monitor the quality of teaching and learning and disseminate good practice in the teaching of PE.
 - Develop links with other professional agencies, external vendors, and partner schools
 - Liaise with Learning Support with respect to any specific Additional Support Needs issues or developments.
 - In line with school policy attend all meetings.
 - Act as team leader for the performance management of PE teaching staff.
 - Undertake appropriate and agreed upon continuing professional development.
 
- Public Relations and Liaison with Parents:
 
- Stay informed regarding parental queries and enquiries about PE matters in the school.
 - To encourage and foster good lines of communication with parents in relation to PE.
 
- Committees and Meetings:
 
- To attend meetings with Senior Academic Leaders.
 - To attend staff meetings, briefings etc and keep colleagues informed of PE matters.
 - To report regularly to Senior Academic Leadership.
 - Working time: Monday – Friday.
 
B - Requirments:
- Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in PE or equivalent degrees;
 - Candidates live in Vietnam are preferred.
 - at least 2 years classroom teaching experience;
 - Good pronunciation and proactive teaching style that can inspire the passion of students in learning;
