• NSS is accredited by Cambridge International to offer Cambridge International Curriculum from Primary to Lower Secondary, International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), and AS-A Level.
• NSS is a College Board registered school approved to deliver the AP curriculum (school code 225002) and an accredited SAT testing center in Vietnam (Test Centre No: 65599).

About the role:

Nguyen Sieu School is looking for a Head of Academic English who is responsible for the coordination of the Academic English Programmes in the AE Pathway and leads a diverse group of local and expatriate English teachers.

Whilst this position is full-time for the next academic year, the school may offer another arrangement for the preferred candidate, should this be desired.

Essential Criteria:

• An undergraduate degree from a recognized university,
• An internationally recognized English language teaching qualification (e.g. CELTA, or equivalent)
• A postgraduate ELT/TESOL qualification, such as Cambridge DELTA Level 02, Cambridge IDLTM, or a Master’s degree in ELT/TESOL (or in the process)
• At least 5 years of relevant teaching experience with a proven record of teaching effectiveness
• At least 3 years of relevant ELT management experience at reputable institutions
• A sound knowledge of curriculum design and development relating to English for Academic Purposes (EAP), SAT, and/or IELTS Preparation
• The capacity to be a proactive member of a professional learning community and a sound commitment to contribute to the school’s journey to achieving the HPL school award and world-class school accreditation
• Previous teaching experience in a school context and an understanding of ELT quality accreditation, such as NEAS, are preferred.

Working conditions:

• Work hours: 40 hours per week (plus 1 hour per day for lunch), normally to be worked between 7.30 am and 4.30 pm, Monday through Friday. Occasionally, the Head will be required to work during weekends.
