Description

General Description

This position is responsible for managing and coordinating activities within the continuous improvement program for the Preschool level while also maintaining teaching responsibilities. The role requires balancing classroom teaching, student support, and implementing improvement initiatives to enhance educational quality.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership and Management
  • Have a very good understanding of the Cambridge Early Years
  • Lead the early years team in implementing the Cambridge Early Years
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff to enhance teaching
  • Create open lines of communication for staff members to feel supported in their roles
  1. Curriculum Oversight
  • Ensure the curriculum meets the developmental needs of all
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum and make necessary adjustments in line with the Cambridge Early Years.
  • Regularly conduct walk-in and formal observations and provide feedback on curriculum implementation; creating teacher development plans as needed.
  1. Staff Development
  • Organize professional development opportunities for staff based on observations and teacher
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  1. Child Development Monitoring
  • Oversee the assessment of children's progress and
  • Support teachers in identifying and addressing individual learning needs
  1. Parent and Community Engagement
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and the community
  • Organize events and workshops to involve families in the education process.
  1. Policy Implementation
  • Ensure compliance with educational regulations and policies
  • Develop and implement school policies related to early years education
  1. Health and Safety & Safeguarding Oversight
  • Ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for children and staff
  • Implement health and safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits
  • Ensure safeguarding protocols are followed by staff members
  1. Promoting Inclusivity 
  • Advocate for inclusive practices that support diverse learners
  • Ensure that all children have access to quality education regardless of their background or abilities

Requirements

  1. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Educational Management
  • Preference for candidates with a Master’s degree or relevant certifications demonstrating teaching expertise
  1. Experience & Personal Qualities:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching at the Preschool level
  • Experience in management, implementing educational improvement programs, or holding a leadership/coordinating role.
  • Responsible, honest, creative, and passionate about education
  1. Skills:
  • Strong teaching skills, lesson planning, and classroom management
  • Leadership, communication, coordination, and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in office software and integrating technology into teaching
  • Preference for teachers proficient in English and holding relevant English proficiency certifications
