Description
Due to increased demand to apply the new 5 STAR – ENGLISH program, PACIFIC COLLEGE is currently looking for full-time/part-time teachers. Our students are at different ages (3 - 18 years old and adult learners at the center), studying general English, academic skills, and/or IELTS/ Cambridge exam preparation.
This post is ideal for an experienced, dedicated teacher who values professional development and enjoys making a real difference in students’ lives while working with like-minded colleagues.
SCHOOL OVERVIEW
Pacific College opened in 2007. We provide students with high-quality English language education along with the 21st-century skills to succeed in higher education and beyond. Our facilities are purpose-built with the latest technology, including LCD screen and projectors in every classroom. We are an official IELTS test site authorized by British Council and a Cambridge Preparation Centre (VN115).
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing and delivering of English lessons; development of lesson plans and other curriculum materials in line with Pacific’s curriculum.
- Performing regular administrative duties such as marking and commenting on students’ work, designing and marking of assessments, program meetings and professional development activities (trainings, outings, …).
- Collaborating with colleagues and sharing ideas in teaching methods and classroom management in accordance with PIC regulations and supporting for students and the school as needed.
- Utilizing our extensive classroom technology.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with a certificate in English language teaching: TEFL, TESOL.
- Having relevant teaching experience for different age groups of learners.
- A clean criminal record in Vietnamese to process work permit procedure.
- Medical certificate of good health is required.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- English test taking after the interview.
- Cultural awareness and flexibility to work in a school and/or center environment in Vietnam.
Desirable:
- A Delta, DipTESOL, CELTA or relevant MA with practical teaching component.
- English equivalent to C1 (advanced) on the CEFR scale (eg, IELTS Band 7 across all 4 skills).
- Experience of teaching IELTS preparation and/or other exam prep (eg, Cambridge Main Suite) as well as teaching Science/ Maths in English for young learners.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Competitive hourly wage (400.000 VND – 500.000 VND) based on qualifications and experience.
- Fees for work permit, tax and health insurance are offered 100% by the school, and 50% for visa.
