II. Job description

1 Teaching English
1.1 Teaching a full course load and satisfying extracurricular responsibilities as defined by
1.2 Planning, preparing, and teaching well lessons which enthuse and inspire students and promote
enjoyment of learning.
1.3 Effectively and appropriately differentiating instructions so as to meet all students’ learning
style with an appreciation for students’ learning differences.
1.4 Selecting and sequencing appropriate materials, resources, and approaches according to the
course content and areas of learners.
1.5 Maintaining effective classroom management.

2 Tracking and evaluating students’ progress
2.1 Assessing, tracking and providing relevant and timely feedback on achievement and
developmental needs to students and managers.
2.2 Marking all students’ tests and updating the score on the school’s shared folder.
2.3 Writing reports on students with clear formative comments by defined deadlines given.
2.4 Completing administrative tasks as defined and by set deadlines.

3 Other tasks
3.1 Attending academic, departmental and school meetings when required and attending or
delivering professional development sessions as directed.
3.2 Supervising and accompanying students on excursions, as appropriate, ensuring their safety and
welfare at all times.
3.3 Adhering to standards and procedures detailed in the Staff/Teacher’s handbook.
