This position is responsible for delivering a comprehensive English language program designed to take participants from B1 to C1 proficiency levels (CEFR) within 52 weeks. The successful candidate will provide instruction across three critical phases of language development, including Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and participants' teaching practice. This position is designed to enhance teaching effectiveness, enable English as the medium of instruction, and promote global engagement among teaching staff. We are looking for an instructor who can commit to guaranteeing progress and meeting educational goals at each stage of the program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver in-person English language classes focusing on comprehensive language skills development, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and academic English skills, tailored to the needs of university educators.
- Consult, design and adapt the curriculum to integrate academic English with specialised topics relevant to the participants’ teaching fields, particularly healthcare. Ensure the curriculum supports progression from B1 to C1 proficiency levels.
- Regularly assess participant progress through formal tests and informal evaluations. Provide constructive feedback and tailored support to help participants meet learning objectives. Performance bonuses will be awarded based on the achievement of specific learner outcomes.
- Oversee participants in the CLIL phase, mentoring them as they develop and execute lesson plans that integrate their subject expertise with advanced English skills.
- Schedule management: Organise and manage a flexible teaching schedule that accommodates the availability of participants, which may include evening and weekend classes.
This position requires a high level of commitment to ensure learner success at each stage of the program. The instructor must be prepared to guarantee and be accountable for learner progress through regular assessments and tailored instruction.
