About the Role

We are seeking energetic, adaptable, and committed teachers to join our Debate Program as Debate Coaches. Coaches will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to develop their coaching and adjudicating skills. You will work closely with students throughout the school year, preparing them for competitions and accompanying them to local and national debate events.

This is more than just a teaching role – it’s an opportunity to inspire students to think critically, speak confidently, and grow as leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach debate fundamentals using proven methods and materials (training provided).

• Coach students in speaking, critical thinking, teamwork, and competition strategy.

• Guide students in practice rounds, research sessions, and competition preparation.

• Accompany students to debate competitions as their coach and mentor.

• Maintain a positive, supportive, and motivating classroom environment.

• Commit to the full academic year to ensure consistency and student growth.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Willingness to learn debate formats (no prior debate experience required—training provided).
