Description
About Nguyen Sieu – A Proud Vietnamese School
Nguyen Sieu School, located on Mac Thai To Street, Cau Giay, Hanoi, is a selective bilingual school. The school strives to become the premier bilingual school in Hanoi, offering world-class international education while upholding traditional Vietnamese values.
In 2023, Nguyen Sieu School became the first school in Vietnam to join the global community of schools adopting the ‘High Performance Learning’ (HPL) philosophy. The HPL philosophy is based on the belief that all students can become high performers, and we teach with this expectation at the forefront of our practice. We believe that every student can achieve with practice, perseverance, and the right support. Students at Nguyen Sieu are not just high perfoming intellectually but are also socially confident.
At Nguyen Sieu, students lead their own learning and regularly organise events and clubs. Using the HPL framework—based on the latest research in neuroscience and psychology—we systematically develop the skills and behaviours that enable young people to thrive both in school and beyond.
Nguyen Sieu School is currently on its HPL accreditation journey and aims to secure World Class School accreditation by 2026. HPL forms the core of the school’s professional development programme and provides valuable networking opportunities with other renowned institutions around the world.
As a member of the Cambridge International School Network since 2013, the school delivers an integrated curriculum combining Cambridge International programmes and the Vietnamese National Curriculum. Our IGCSE and A Level results consistently exceed global averages, with Nguyen Sieu students regularly achieving high distinctions.
Students following the Vietnamese National Programme also study Academic English, as well as internationally recognised qualifications such as IELTS, SAT, and Advanced Placement (AP). All academic pathways provide students with a secure route to respected Vietnamese and international universities.
Nguyen Sieu School is also committed to supporting aspiring teachers in achieving recognised teaching qualifications. Through our network of experienced teachers and trained in-school mentors, we actively support professional development.
In 2023, Nguyen Sieu became a Teacher Development Hub School for TES Institute (Times Educational Supplement), serving as an authorised placement school for teaching practice as part of the iPGCE and MA programmes offered by the University of East London (UEL). Teachers at Nguyen Sieu are encouraged and supported to pursue further studies in education, with mentoring and guidance available for professional development courses.
