Position Title: Biology Teacher

POSITION OVERVIEW
A Biology Teacher oversees teaching, preparing materials, building the curriculum, organizing activities, creating assessments or tests, scoring, and giving feedback to students, relating to the subject as well as ensuring the best learning effectiveness and the best quality of assessments. The Biology Teacher is also responsible for participating in mutual tasks/activities assigned by the Senior Leadership Team, Academic Team, or Board of Management, contributing to the ideas for general teaching activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Collaborate with other Biology/Natural Science/STEAM teachers to design the Biology curriculum that fits the School’s orientation;
- Prepare materials, lesson plans, teaching plans with specific learning goals relating to Biology for students;
- Teach, manage and take care of students during your classes;
- Organize teaching and learning activities to develop students' learning capacity and create new teaching or learning methods to help students achieve their best results;
- Update class’s status and students individually (if any) on the Learning Management System;
- Organize Biology assessments or tests to evaluate students' learning effectiveness and proactively adjust teaching methods;
- Complete the academic reports assigned by the Academic Team or Senior Leadership Team;
- Complete academic materials based on requirements from the Ministry of Education & Training and Department of Education & Training;
- Prepare materials and join mutual meetings or 1-on-1 meeting with parents of your class;
- Be on duty to supervise or manage students on required by the School;
- Participate in training sessions required/organized by the School; Actively participate in training and professional development activities;
- Build respectful, cooperative relationships with parents and students;
- Support teams/colleagues in professional activities;
- Participate in school activities and events;
- Other tasks as required by the Academic Team, Senior Leadership Team, and Board of Management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- University/Master’s Degree/ Certificate of Pedagogy/ Education with teaching major;
- 2years of experience in a similar position in bilingual/international/high quality schools;
- Dynamic, innovative mindset in teaching and learning methods;
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English
- Provide and upload Bachelor's degree and related certificates.
