Description

General Purpose

Plan and deliver class activities that enable students to learn the principles and be prepared for their SAT standardized test.

Teaching Venue: District 3 and District 7

Salary: minimum 15 USD+/hour 

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver lessons using various instructional techniques that are appropriate to the academic level.
  • Maximize the appropriate use of technology in the classroom as an instructional tool.
  • Teach principles and prepare students for their SAT test (Reading & Writing/Maths).
  • Encourage the development of critical thinking skills.
  • Create a safe and flexible classroom environment conducive to optimal student learning.
  • Help students to work independently and collaboratively in groups.
  • Administer standardized tests and help students achieve on these tests.
  • Monitor performance and progress and modify instructional methods to meet individual needs where necessary.
  • Keep academic and consultant teams informed of students' academic progress and social and behavioral issues.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records including attendance, assessments, and test scores.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

Education, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree from universities in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, or New Zealand.
  • Having TESOL/CELTA.
  • A solid grounding in classroom management and school procedures.
  • Proficient in the use of technology and computer applications as required.
  • Up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques and topics in SAT.
