Description
Atlantic Group is recruiting a part-time ICT teacher for the Cambridge International program teaching positions at Lower Secondary (Grade 6) for the 2018-2019 school year in Hanoi, Vietnam.
This position is for an immediate start, finishing at the end of the school year in May 2019.
ICT is taught in English, using the Cambridge International ICT Starters: Initial Steps curriculum. This program runs in 2 of the top state secondary schools in Hanoi, both centrally located in Hoan Kiem district.
This position includes 6 hours of teaching per week, plus lesson planning and up to 1.5 additional office hours per week. All work takes place on Tues and Wed mornings.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a key part of a first-of-its-kind pilot project. Successful implementation of this year’s project will likely lead to the widespread adoption of Cambridge International programs throughout Hanoi, impacting education across the city.
Job requirements
Essential
- Relevant bachelor’s/master’s/PGCE or other teaching qualification in ICT*
- Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching at secondary level (Grade 6-9)
- Cultural awareness and flexibility to work in a state-school environment in Vietnam
- A clean criminal record in home country and in Vietnam
- Ability to produce documents to secure a work permit
*We will also consider candidates with significant ICT knowledge / work experience, combined with teaching qualifications & experience in another subject

- Experience with the Cambridge International ICT Starters curriculum
Contract length: September 2018 - May 2019
Compensation: from 900USD (paid in VND) per month, dependent on qualifications and experience
