Atlantic Five-Star English is recruiting an experienced teacher to join our IELTS teaching team at a prestigious, centrally located high school in Hanoi for the 2018-2019 school year.   We are seeking 1 part-time teacher for Mon, Wed & Fri mornings. This position starts July 22 and finishes in May, at the end of the school year. There will be an option to add afternoon lessons when more students join the program in September.   Teachers will deliver lessons throughout the school year to high school students, with the ultimate goal of students achieving an overall IELTS score of 5.5 or above. The expected class size is 25 students.   Our curriculum focuses on helping students develop their academic English language knowledge and skills, to prepare them for success on the IELTS exam, in university and beyond. IELTS test familiarization and strategies are an important part of the curriculum, but by no means the sole focus.   We offer dedicated academic management support, including workshops and developmental observations.   This post is the right fit for a highly experienced, effective teacher looking to add some daytime teaching hours during the week. • CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL / equivalent (online certificates are not accepted)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Minimum 2 years’ English teaching experience, including experience teaching IELTS and experience with high school-age learners
• Cultural awareness and flexibility to work in a state-school environment
• A clean criminal record in home country and in Vietnam

  Desirable

• Delta / DipTESOL / relevant MA with practical teaching component
• IELTS examiner certification (active or lapsed)
• Previous experience of teaching in Vietnamese state schools
