Job Overview

Location: Public schools across Hanoi Start Date: September 2026 (Induction in August 2026) Contract: Until May 31, 2027 Schedule: Daytime teaching hours Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 60 teaching hours per month

Salary & Benefits

• Up to 730,000 VND/hour (gross) depending on qualifications and experience plus IELTS supplement

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons in IELTS preparation, Academic English, and communicative English skills

• Teach and support high school students preparing for university entrance and international English examinations

• Develop and adapt lessons to meet students’ academic goals and language proficiency levels

• Prepare students for IELTS and other standardised English assessments

• Use a variety of teaching methods, materials, and technology to maximise student engagement and achievement

• Monitor student progress through assessments, feedback, and reports

• Prepare, administer, and mark tests, assignments, and examinations

• Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and assessment data

• Collaborate with Academic Managers, Operations Coordinators, and fellow teachers

• Participate in meetings, training sessions, observations, and school events

• Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies are followed at all times

Teaching Context

Students: High School (ages 15–18) Class Size: Typically 25–30 students Focus Areas: IELTS Preparation, Academic English, Exam Readiness, Communication Skills Support: Structured curriculum, mentoring, observations, and ongoing professional development

Requirements

Essential

• CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL (or equivalent qualification with observed teaching practice)

• Bachelor’s degree or higher

• At least 2 years of English teaching experience

• Experience preparing students for IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, or Academic English programmes

• Ability to build positive relationships with teenage learners

• Strong classroom management skills

• Clean criminal record

Desirable

• Experience teaching high school students

• Experience teaching IELTS or exam preparation courses

• Experience in Vietnamese public schools

• Experience teaching large classes

• Delta / DipTESOL / MA TESOL (or equivalent qualification)
