Head Teacher Trainer Position Available | Join One of Vietnam’s Leading TEFL Training Organizations!

We are seeking an experienced, passionate educator to join our team as the Head Teacher Trainer of our TEFL courses.

In this on-site role in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, you will be leading the training of 9 four-week in-classroom TEFL courses per year, with responsibilities including:

• Conducting input sessions during the four-week TEFL teacher training courses.

• Owning the full training cycle, training outcomes, curriculum updates, and assessments.

• Assisting TEFL course trainees with developing their lesson plans for practical teaching.

• Observing, assessing, and giving feedback on trainees’ practical teaching.

• Other training-related duties, including grading of lesson plans and assignments, and completing trainee final reports.

• Providing academic support and guidance to trainees throughout the courses.

• Leading, standardizing and providing professional development for trainers on the team.

Working hours: Monday-Friday, from 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Contact hours: During courses, on average 24 contact hours a week (input sessions, assisting trainees with lesson planning, observation and feedback, running trainee reflections).

Time between courses: 1–3 weeks with no contact hours (for curriculum development, training-team leadership etc).

Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package based on experience and qualifications.

Leave: 30 days - including public holidays and annual leave.

Location: Bình Thạnh district, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Start date: The start date for this position is 2nd January 2027.

Training: Candidates will ideally be available for a training period from 14th November - 11th December 2026 (flexible training may be possible if still working during this period).

Our ideal candidate for the role:

• Holds a bachelor’s degree and relevant qualifications e.g. DELTA, DipTESOL, MA TESOL etc.

• Has teacher training experience with expat ESL teachers.

• Academic management experience with expat ESL teachers is a plus.

• Ideally has previous ESL teaching experience with young learners.

• Has the confidence and ability to lead a class of adult TEFL course participants.

• Is encouraging, kind, patient, has strong people skills and is excited about giving people the opportunity to start a new career as a teacher.

• Can instill a passion for teaching in new teachers as they begin their journeys as teachers in Vietnam.
