Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Music teacher
REPORTS TO: Head of English Program
POSITION SUMMARY
Informed by the school’s values, teachers will ensure that all students learn the content and skills required for academic success as defined by curricular and instructional objectives and overarching school goals.
Instructors will:
Teach appropriate content and skills using student-centered, project-based curriculum materials adopted by the school.
Provide supplemental and teacher-created materials as needed.
Develop lesson plans accommodating diverse learning styles and specialized student needs.
Create a learning environment that encourages:
Positive social interaction
Active engagement
Self-motivation
Actively participate with colleagues in:
School improvement activities
Professional development
Curriculum, instruction, and assessment meetings
Student support meetings

Degree in Education/Music.
Certified teaching license (PGCE/QTS) from:

Master’s degree in Education preferred.
Minimum 2 years of full-time professional teaching experience.

One advisory course responsibility
Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors.
