English Teacher – Bilingual Program / International Program
Position Overview
The English Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality, student-centred instruction within the Bilingual or International Program. Guided by the school's values and educational philosophy, the successful candidate will create an engaging learning environment that supports students' academic achievement, personal growth, and overall wellbeing through innovative, project-based teaching practices.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Planning & Preparation
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and academic standards.
Develop lesson plans and instructional materials using project-based and student-centred learning approaches.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate students' diverse learning needs, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.
Design meaningful learning experiences that encourage inquiry, collaboration, and critical thinking.
Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional planning.
Classroom Instruction
Deliver high-quality English instruction that actively engages students in learning.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that promotes student independence and responsibility.
Encourage higher-order thinking through questioning, discussion, and collaborative learning activities.
Monitor student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
Adapt teaching strategies to maximise student achievement and respond effectively to individual learning needs.
Student Support & Assessment
Assess student learning through a variety of evaluation methods.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment, grades, and academic progress.
Support students' academic, social, and emotional development through appropriate interventions and referrals when necessary.
Encourage students to reflect on their learning and develop self-assessment skills.
Professional Responsibilities
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to improve curriculum, teaching practice, and student outcomes.
Participate in professional development, instructional coaching, staff meetings, and school improvement initiatives.
Build positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community through effective communication.
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, advisory programmes, and other community initiatives.
Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
Perform additional duties assigned by the Senior Leadership Team or School Management.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field (degrees in Humanities, History, or similar disciplines will also be considered).
Valid teaching qualification or licence (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) obtained in the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, or another recognised jurisdiction.
Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience.
Strong understanding of student-centred and project-based learning methodologies.
Excellent classroom management and instructional skills.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
High level of professionalism and commitment to continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Education or a related field.
Experience teaching in bilingual or international school settings.
Experience delivering inquiry-based and project-based learning.
