My name is Samantha, and I am 34, and live in Birmingham, England. I have a degree in English language and literature, which I earned last year. I am currently working towards a 168 hour TEFL course, which has included a classroom component where I have been able to learn and apply teaching techniques. My degree in English language and literature has allowed me to develop a good understanding of different dialects and cultures within the English speaking world. I have developed skills in essay writing and a high level of written English proficiency, and have studied English literature in a detailed manner, learning how to build arguments and understand themes and writing styles. My course included a module dedicated to teaching English as a foreign language, which has extended my knowledge of the reasons students choose to learn English and the TEFL industry. I am currently working as an online English teachers, and volunteer in a community group.I am a thoughtful and conscientious tutor who quickly builds a positive rapport with students. I am reliable and dependable and am committed to see my students progress and surpass their expectations of what they are capable to do. I am friendly and patient and work hard to provide a supportive environment where students can learn and practice new English skills. I use a wide range of teaching aids from many cam to a ukulele to ensure my lessons are fun, engaging and focused on the student's requirements. I have received excellent feedback from students on my ability to explain and allow supported practice of new concepts and language to be taught and practised. Corrections are thorough and delivered in a constructive way. In my capacity as a community volunteer, I have also been taking part in training and developing new volunteers and building new community groups. This has involved me writing and delivering workshops in both the UK and Germany.
