For the last three years I have been employed as a drama teacher at Act Studios. Being employed as a drama teacher means that I teach storytelling, poetry, improvisation lessons and puppetry. Every lesson is structured with a voice and body warm up, a pre- experience of the lesson, an acting out of the different characters in the story, the main experience/ story and a warm down.
I teach drama classes everyday Monday - Friday teaching 6 drama classes children from ages 3-6 years old and then grade 1 -7. As the drama teacher I am required to put on, organise, write and direct concerts and theme programmes every year for each class I teach. In the drama classes I interact with the children and physically partake in every exercise we do.
