I am from the United States. I moved to Vietnam in August, 2018. I immediately completed my in class TEFL Course with AVSE (150 hour in class course) in Ho Chi Minh City. I have been teaching full time (Starters, Movers, Flyers, KET, Pet, and EILTS “listening and speaking” since September, 2018. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University, the majority of my previous career and work life was with the United States Government Forest Service. I was a Government Land Manager for 20 years. All of my positions with these U.S. federal agencies included my responsibility to frequently educate the public (all age groups) about the many uses of natural resources on Government (public) mountain/forested lands.
My specific experience as an educator through my work life is listed below:
• I am currently teaching English in HCM at the UC Sai Gon English Center in District 7 (+84 28 3785 3128). I have experience teaching English at the Skyline Center for 5 months teaching 24 hours a week (2018). I taught English at the AMA centre at 25 hours each week for 3 months (2019) - both in Quang Ngai City, Vietnam. I now live in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City. I am looking for at least 10 or 15 hours English teaching per week. Am flexible. I am highly educated and polite. I am professional. I have good experience in Vietnam teaching primary, secondary, beginners, IELTS, and adults.
• During 10 years, I frequently participated in annual outdoor school camps and other activities to educate children and young adults about subjects such as plant identification (botany), using maps and compass, horseback riding, guitar and singing (music), and general outdoor safety.
• Educating the public (all ages) at frequent community events and an annual County Fair booth about sustainable, profitable, and successful livestock (cattle) grazing on public lands.
• Education activities such as the County Fair and local grade school class room settings to inform the public about invasive plant identification and prevention.

To whom it may concern,
Through my recent 12 months of teaching English (TEFL) in Vietnam during 2018 and 2019, and also my 2018 TEFL teaching practice during my in class TESOL course in Ho Chi Minh City, I have discovered that I love teaching all age groups from kindergarten to adults. I am a kind, honest, reliable, and driven individual with the belief that I would make a great asset to any language center. I greatly appreciate the overall climate, the scenery (in the countryside and the cities), and the kind welcome from so many good people in Vietnam.
I have always been very good at my chosen interests and goals throughout my college degree and adult career experiences. I have good work ethics and I always strive to improve. I am very healthy and ambitious. Much of my previous career was with the United States Government Forest Service which included teaching people of all age groups about responsible use of our Natural Resources such as trees, wild fish, wildlife, and forage for domestic livestock (cattle) on large areas of U.S.A. public lands in the western United States.
Through my previous career and work, I have often enjoyed teaching classes to children at “outdoor schools” (7-day outdoor camps) about reading maps and using a compass, plant identification (botany) and edible plants, horseback riding, playing guitar and singing, and general outdoor safety. As a crew leader and supervisor, I spent multiple years teaching all aspects of working to adults in in the fields of Natural Resources and responsible permitted Livestock Grazing on Public Lands. I wish to settle down and find a long-term teaching job in Vietnam because I believe it will be very rewarding to me while I successfully help people of any ages to speak good English and see their improvement. I also respect and admire Vietnam culture and values very much.
I am really intrigued by your language center and what they offer to both teachers and students. Please consider my application for any English teaching jobs you may have available. I would love the opportunity to come for an interview and discuss why I would be suitable for the job. I have my Bachelor of Science Degree and police clearance certificates authenticated, and I am available to work starting ant time from now (from the 21th of May 2019).
Thank you so much for your time.
