I am an English native who has obtained a varied and vast amount of experience teaching English as a foreign language in South Korea. I returned to England to complete a master’s but have longed to return to Asia due to an interest in experiencing and understanding other’s culture. I have returned to South Korea recently and am currently living in Yongsan, Seoul, but ready to move to Vietnam as soon as possible.
As stated in my resume, I have had experience with young children to adults; beginners to advanced levels; 1:1 to groups; and independent schools to major franchises. I have dealt with a range of topics and focuses in English, but I have found that conversation is mostly what Korean students have required. I very much enjoy working with children and enabling them the confidence to develop and enjoy the lesson. For older students, I provide a comfortable atmosphere for them to open and grow with their English. I tailor lessons depending on the level and individual, and attempt to build rapport with every student I come across.
I would love the opportunity to live and work in Vietnam– learning the language and culture; becoming a part of the community; supporting the economy how I can. I am a dedicated employee for those I work for.
