During my time at secondary school I volunteered with a group called ‘Youthlife’. Youthlife helps bereaved young people cope with their loss. I was a member of their team and took part in several residential weekends supporting the group. This taught me how to approach and speak to people under certain emotional situations without upsetting them.
- Training, Make Yourself Seen (Erasmus+) Dates: 06/06/15 – 14/06/15
Erasmus+ is a European organisation who facilitates courses from a wide variety, and in various locations throughout Europe. The theatre training course in the Netherlands explored forum and invisible theatre, alongside self-development. Through exercises I strengthened my self-confidence and how to deal with people in heated, realistic situations whilst maintaining a sense of control, and willingness to help. This gave me an introduction in taking charge of a group outside of the directorial perspective.
