I studied International Communications at university, followed by work experience in Europe in education (at a summer school in Scotland & teaching in Italy). This led to me completing a 60 hour TEFL certificate in Beijing, which was followed by nearly 3 years teaching in China.
I have spent nearly 3 years teaching English in the South of China at a variety of teaching institutions for different ages. These include a foreign language school, for which I followed a Cambridge curriculum for the primary school classes and IELTS training for the middle school classes. I have also worked part-time at a variety of kindergartens and training centres as an EFL teacher, with class sizes varying from 2 students to 25 students. On top of this, I have worked as an oral English teacher, developing my own curriculum at a middle school whilst teaching Grades 6, 7 & 8.
I'm a confident and friendly teacher who believes it's important to have fun with the kids to maintain their enthusiasm for English and my classes.
I'm currently seeking teaching positions in Vietnam but preferably for a shorter term (6 months).
