In High School I had the opportunity to participate in humanitarian community outreach programs in Ecuador (2003,2004), Ukraine (2005), Mexico (2006), and South Africa (2007), where I worked with local children for extra-curricular activities such as games, stories, the construction of lavatories, painting, and distributing food and medical aid to those in need.
My earliest formal experience with teaching was as an English tutor and foreign exchange student at Droste-Hülshoff Gymnasium, Meersburg, Germany, as part of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program in 2008-2009.
While studying at University, I worked for Easter Seals Colorado, a non-profit organization which provides educational and vocational support to adults with developmental disabilities. My duties included helping people with reading and writing, and providing on-site job training for entry level positions.
I also worked for Denver Public Schools as an English tutor for after school programs at Denver West High School, a bilingual public High School.
