Description

A. Job description

1. Strategic Leadership

• Provide inspiring and purposeful leadership for staff, teachers and students.

• Work with the Board of Directors, General Manager, staff, parents and students to develop and maintain a central mission and vision for the School.

• Ensure continuous improvement is achieved through the development and

implementation of an ambitious School Development Plan (SDP).

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the School and report to the Board of Directors.

• Work with the General Manager to ensure that the finance and administrative functions support the core mission of the school.

• Work collaboratively with the other Vietnamese Principals of SNS Schools to implement educational activities, marketing plans, budgeting and sharing resources as needed.

• Represent the school in the local community to increase the school’s reputation and expand its reach.

2. Teaching and Learning

• Develop a fulfilling curriculum and timetable, along with an extra-curricular program, to support the vision and mission of the School.

• Create a dynamic school culture and set expectations that promote a high standard of excellence in teaching, resulting in high achievements for students and staff. 

• Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning to improve student

achievement, using assessment data to drive standards with continual improvement.

• Coordinate extra-curricular activities and additional educational support programs that support the vision, mission and commercial objectives of the School.

• Work with Head Teachers,  Head of Academic Affair and Head of IT to promote the use of the Virtual Learning Environment, School Management System and other technologies to enhance teaching and learning.

• Maintain an effective partnership with international partners, parents, key stakeholders and the wider community to support and improve student achievement and personnel development.

3. Leading and Managing Staff

• Identify and train staff and teachers to align with the school’s vision and mission; continually train and develop potential within the school. 

• Plan tasks for staff and delegate effectively to ensure all staff are held accountable for their professional conduct, performance, and duties.

• Implement and maintain effective systems for the management of staff performance,

challenging and motivating staff to achieve high goals, ensuring systems are transparent and lead to excellent results. 

• Promote and monitor ongoing professional development of self and staff, including the induction of new teachers.

4. Organization and Resources

• Work closely with the General Manager, international partners, join and contribute proactively in the Educational Committee, on all aspects of governance, reporting, and development of the School.

• Identify, recommend and maximise opportunities to promote and develop the school brand and reputation within the community. 

• Engage the school community in the systematic self-evaluation of the work of the school to inform school improvement priorities.

• Ensure that relevant policies, procedures, and systems are up to date. Work with the General Manager, Head of Academic Affairs and Head of IT to assure the integrity of student management information system data and usage.

5. Safeguarding 

• Ensure that all policies and procedures in relation to Safeguarding are fully implemented and followed by all staff, teachers and students.

• Ensure that sufficient time and other resources are allocated to the students’ and teachers' safety and well-being.

B. Job requirements

• Native English Speaker;

• At least 5 years experience in  School management such as Principal / Vice-Principal;

• Masters/ PhD. degree in education or education management ;

• Required soft skills: communication; problem-solving; 

• High-sense of responsibility; punctual; honest; well – organized; psychological understanding;

• Proficient in using computer software, school management apps, educational technology.
