This is an exciting opportunity at a leading EAP and IELTS provider for diploma-qualified TEFL professionals to display and develop their skills, experience and knowledge in a full-time academic management role that includes course and material development, teacher support and continuing professional development, as well as teaching young learners and adults in Academic English and IELTS Preparation courses.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Academic Management City level
- Assist the DoS with communication between ACET and the teaching team
- Conduct teacher observations – observe and give feedback to teachers, conduct appraisals, and offer support and advice
- Conduct in-service training (INSET) sessions in the form of teacher development workshops
- Maintain and monitor teacher professionalism
- Arrange mentoring and run induction sessions for new teachers
- Assist in the creation, development, and organization of course materials
Administrative City level
- Monitor and oversee exam delivery and results, collating information and issues and responding as appropriate
- Respond to student and teacher feedback, reporting to the DoS as appropriate.
- Liaise with teachers and counsellors on student matters
- Support with student placement testing and marketing activities or exhibitions conducted by ACET and IDP
Products Development City level
- Conduct curriculum development projects as assigned by the Academic Director/DoS
- Assist in the monitoring & evaluation of curriculum changes, collating teacher feedback and liaising with DOS
- Support the design and implementation of projects for Corporate clients
Teaching hours
- Teach own teens, Academic English, or IELTS courses, dependent on the time of year, averaging 12 hours per week
REQUIREMENTS:
- An undergraduate degree from a recognized university
- An internationally recognized English language teaching qualification (e.g. CELTA, or equivalent)
- 3+ years ELT/TESOL teaching experience at reputable institutions
- Experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and/or IELTS preparatory classes
- A postgraduate ELT/TESOL qualification, such as Cambridge DELTA Level 02, Cambridge IDLTM or a Master’s degree in ELT/TESOL (or in process)
- Thorough understanding of the role of culture in language learning
- ELT experience in Vietnam or Asia
- Experience in teaching Academic English / Young Learners / Teens
