Description

Job Purpose
Delivery of Academic Operation Management and coordination of administrative and operations-related functions of programs and projects related to the Academic Department.

Manage Teaching staff to achieve the goals and targets of the teaching team, as well as the goals and objectives of the curriculum. Coordinate and support Academic Professional Development Tasks, Human Capital Department Tasks, and Sales & Marketing Tasks. Ensuring that the Academic Department is delivering all I Can Read programs correctly and constantly with the highest standard, thus maximizing student growth and retention.

Work with the Academic Director, Academic Operation Manager and Senior Management Team, to ensure that I Can Read Vietnam delivers from an Academic Perspective to a consistently high standard, helping increase the company’s overall credibility and profitability.

Responsibilities

1. Teacher Scheduling Efficacy

  • Scheduling for FT teachers, to ensure optimization of the number of hours of the full-time teachers as well as class size optimization per teacher.
  • Scheduling for PT teachers, to ensure all other classes not taught by FT teachers are always correctly and timely arranged.
  • Scheduling and ensuring that enough teachers can be available to cover classes when this is needed.
  • Ensuring teachers are sent their schedules weekly and that teachers provided confirmation of these schedules.
  • Forecasting FT, PT, and Relief teachers based on the Time Table & Class forecasting.

2. Academic Operation Management 

  • Providing the overall management of course plans, lesson plans and progress reporting across centres & manage the follow up by both none teachers & teachers.
  • Providing timesheet SOP management to both Teachers based on scheduling management.
  • Represent the I Can Read business and academic operations within the organization, in Centre and HQ.
  • Work with HQ Departments / Centre operation Management team for Development and review of operational processes, systems and materials on academic operation services.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to all ICR Centers, in ensuing teacher support to teachers.
  • Provide assistance to the Centre Management team relating to Academic and Teacher issues in all Centers.
  • Regularly meet with teachers to discuss and give guidance to any Academic or Centre matters.
  • Be a point of contact for teachers in HQ to & relate the matter resolved successfully to the respective Functional Head.
  • Communicate and coordinate with teachers and non-teachers to ensure that there is a strong, efficient and sustainable work relationship between the teacher and non-teacher teams

3. Recruitment Assistance

  • Conduct interviews for all suitable experienced and qualified teacher candidates.
  • Contribute to the Development and review of HR processes, systems and materials.
  • Contribute to Providing guidance and support to teachers with HR matters.

4. Student Enrollment

  • Coordinating with the teaching team to maximize teaching quality, through observations, feedbacking and continual professional development training
  • Implementing the Parent Communication Policy and Calendar to ensure that communication between parents and teachers is frequent and systematized.
  • Implementing systems for measurement of parent satisfaction, and for identifying parents who are at risk of withdrawal.
  • Implementing a parent handbook to help parents understand the theory and practice of the I Can Read System.
  • Reacting to parent concerns, and where possible, meeting directly with parents communicate and support the parents accordingly.
  • Assisting in organizing and delivering special promotional events, both within ICR centers and in other locations (where applicable).
  • Support to the Marketing Team, as being part of the team to help with special events, road shows, exhibitions and seminars for brand promotion or demos.

 5. Other Business Support

  • Teach classes twice a week, to maintain sharpening of the I Can Read Methodology skillset and delivery.
  • Supporting the Academic Department with covering classes, where this is needed or required.
  • Support of overall business of I Can Read Vietnam, with any academic operation projects assigned by the Managing Director, to help support business growth and stability.

Working Hours:

  • Office & Center working hours adaptation
  • Regular operation hours can be between 11:00 to 20:00 on weekdays & weekend Saturday from 08:00 to 17:00
  • Ready to adapt with flexible management schedule requested
  • Regular day off on Saturday & Sunday or Alternate weekday if weekend working
