Position Title: Korean Teaching Assistant

Work Location: True North School – Lot TH-03, Mo Lao urban area, Ha Dong, Hanoi

POSITION OVERVIEW

Korean Teaching Assistant has a critical contribution to the development and enhancement of the quality of the Korean language teaching provision and the student experience following True North School’s pillars of excellence and philosophy.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Support Teachers in teaching, managing and taking care of Korean students to ensure their safety and learning effectiveness.
• Ensure the classroom’s cleanliness and safety; decorate the classroom and prepare class’s materials as required.
• Establish collaborative relationships with all staff, students and parents.
• Commit and contribute to the school community, play an active, positive and supportive role in addressing the needs of the whole child and the ethos of True North International School beyond the classroom. This includes, but is not limited to:

○ Participate in school-sponsored educational trips.

○ Participate in co-curricular activities during the year;

• Ensure that personal professional goals are established and completed each year;
• Undertake additional duties that may reasonably be assigned or requested by the Line Manager

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors’ degree or in Korean, Korean Studies or in relevant subject area.
• Prior experience as a Korean tutor or Korean Teaching Assistant is a plus.
• Good command of both spoken and written Korean.
• Innovative and creative thinking in teaching methods.
