About American Academy (AMA Vietnam)

American Academy (AMA Vietnam), formerly known as Cleverlearn Vietnam, is one of Vietnam's leading providers of English language education, with more than 20 campuses across Vietnam and Thailand.

With over a decade of experience in ESL education, AMA is committed to delivering high-quality English language training through innovative teaching methodologies, internationally recognised programmes, and a strong focus on student success.

Our History

Originally established as Cleverlearn Vietnam, an affiliate of Cleverlearn Inc. (USA)—a global English language education provider founded in 1999—the organisation opened its first campus in Ho Chi Minh City in 2003.

In 2010, AMA signed a USD 3 million strategic cooperation agreement with Cleverlearn Vietnam. The following year, in February 2012, Cleverlearn Vietnam officially merged with and was rebranded as American Academy (AMA Vietnam), a transformation recognised by both the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.

This merger combined the strengths of two respected education providers, establishing AMA as one of Vietnam's leading brands for American-style English language training and academic preparation.
